Although pigs do produce quite a bit more manure a year than humans which produce approximately 730 lbs or 331 kg a year, The population of pigs in the world is considerably less. They are estimated at around 939,000,000 a few years ago While the population for humans is at over 6.8 billion people.
ReplyDeleteThat would mean that Humans are creating double the amount of pigs.
Additionally, Pig manure IS being reused!! They are researching the extraction of nutrients that are not absorbed by the pig and it is also being used as energy and even crude oil.
Agriculturalists and Ag Scientists are constantly looking for way to reuse what we produce!
What about human waste??
